Expert in natural cosmetics
Now it is for sure – the long winter and early spring chilliness is over, and this month we can celebrate the beginning of the summer season. However, the skin has not yet gained natural tan and might look slightly pale or grey. Fortunately we have created an effective and natural solution for this problem – decorative skin care cosmetics with mineral pigments! Facial tinting fluid or shimmering body lotion containing mineral pigments – gives the skin an immediate radiance and summer tan effect.
Tinting fluids or facial creams have appeared on the market rather recently. Tinting fluid is a new alternative to the traditional foundation make-up. Similarly like with finish lipstick which is mostly applied for evening make-up, powder foundation and make-up foundation also are losing their place in everyday skin care; instead lighter and natural looking products are used.
Tinting fluid includes features of foundation and evens out skin tone having a lightly moisturizing effect. Mineral pigment – mica, one of the main ingredients, gives the tinting fluid a light reflecting effect making the skin radiant, evens out the skin tone, disguises imperfections and fine lines. But natural pigments like iron oxides slightly tone the skin, hide paleness, redness or other imperfections, as well as give a light summer tan.
In comparison with traditional foundation which is dense, heavy and does not illuminate the skin, tinting fluid is applied with a much thinner layer, thus facial skin looks natural as if no decorative cosmetics would be used. In addition, the tinting fluid does not cover the pores and does not accumulate in lines and wrinkles; the fluid is suitable for wearing in hot weather since it does not stop any metabolic processes in the skin.
The tinting fluid has a lower concentration of pigments than in a foundation, thus it is much easier to adapt the fluid to the skin tone. Also, when choosing the most appropriate tinting fluid it is important to clarify if your skin tone falls into warm or cool color group. Furthermore, concerning ease of use the tinting fluid is more convenient – it can be easily applied without obvious differences with non-covered area.
You can use a shimmering moisturising body cream or lotion to make your skin look healthy and radiant also on the chest area, hands and legs when wearing summer clothes. Usually the base ingredient in these products are skin care creams or lotions with the mineral mica added to give a light reflecting, shimmering effect. In comparison with tinting fluids, no pigments (iron oxides) are added to the body lotion, only shimmer, so that no stains would be left on clothing. The shimmer revives skin color, evens out the tone, and depending on the color of mica gives a look of light summer tan.
When choosing a shimmering body lotion, the size and roughness of shimmer particles should be noted. If large and few shimmer or glitter particles can be seen when applying a small amount of product on the skin, the desirable result will not be achieved. The product should contain a large amount of dustlike shimmer particles that can be evenly applied on the skin. This way the light will be reflected regularly and will give the skin elegant radiance.
Natural mineral pigments are non-organic substances obtained from rocks and metals. Mineral pigments have a color and shimmer, therefore these are used as natural colorants in decorative and sometimes in skin care cosmetics. The main ingredients of decorative skin care cosmetics are mica, iron oxides, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.
Mica – a natural mineral substance found in rocks, stones and sands. Pure, natural-like mica is used in natural cosmetic products to give shimmering properties. Depending on the shape and size of particles, mica can be of golden, silver, bronze and other color. Mica has large particles that do not get into skin. It is a safe, stable and non-allergic ingredient.
Iron oxides – non-organic or mineral pigments, found widely in nature. Pure iron oxides are used as food and cosmetics colorants. Can be found in different colors – yellow, red and black. Often are used in decorative cosmetic products. In comparison with synthetic colorants, iron oxides are safe, stable and non-allergic.
Titanium dioxide – white pigment, found widely in nature. Pure, nature-like titanium dioxide is used as food and cosmetics colorant. Titanium dioxide is a very stable, non-allergic colorant. Titanium dioxide is the most common UV ray filter and protects the skin against UVB rays and partially also against UVA rays.
Zinc oxide – white pigment, found widely in nature. Zinc oxide is commonly used to treat different skin disorders, as well as is used as white colorant in cosmetic products. Zinc oxide is used in products like baby powders and creams to prevent diaper rash, as well as in anti-dandruff shampoos and antiseptic creams. Zinc oxide is a common UV ray filter and protects the skin against UVB and UVA rays. Zinc oxide is used as food and cosmetics colorant.
