Entering the second decade of MÁDARA story, we have also opened the doors to our new home – from now on, the most advanced organic skincare factories in Northern Europe you'll find in Latvia. Take a little look at the Grand Opening event, which was also attended by Raimonds Vējonis, the President of Latvia.

To us, this year is a very special one. Entering the second decade in MÁDARA story, we have also officially opened the doors to our new home – a real state-of-the-art organic skincare facility, one of the most advanced in Northern countries.

The opening ceremony, held on September 29, was also attended by Raimonds Vējonis, the President of Latvia, Reinis Rubenis, Chairman of the Board of Swedbank, Reinis Bērziņš, Chairman of the Board of the financial institution ALTUM, Andris Ozols, Director of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), Indriķis Muižnieks, Rector of the University of Latvia and Mārtiņš Bojārs, Chairman of Mārupe Municipality Council.

MÁDARA story began 10 years ago with a belief that Latvia’s unique natural resources in combination with scientific research could give excellent, safe, effective and sustainable skincare products to the world. Starting with a few people, the MADARA Cosmetics team has now grown to more than 80 employees.

All four MÁDARA founders Paula Tisenkopfa, Zane Tamane, Lotte Tisenkopfa-Iltnere and Liene Drāzniece at the opening event.

The new factory combines a wide, clean production area, a warehouse, a product development and quality control lab, office space and factory store.

The total area of the building is 2700 m2, out of which 1800 mare occupied by the production area and storerooms.

Raimonds Vejonis, the President of Latvia, ready to start the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Lotte Tisenkopfa-Iltnere, founder and creative director of MÁDARA:

«We are developing our company to a level we want to bring the Latvian state to – fair, equal, modern, efficient, open and friendly. The factory is open and accessible to everyone – school and university students, travelers and other interested persons, as perhaps the story of Latvian nature and business will serve as a source of inspiration for good things.»

So, the opening ribbon has been cut and the door to our new home is widely and proudly open #madara10
