As I was going to a tea and meditation centre for ten days.
I decided to allow myself to take only one product. Which one would you take?
Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away… I feel that one of todays’ biggest challenges for all of us is to have less. Somehow it seems to be a path that could make us all free – to free mother Earth from the overuse of natural resources, to free the planet from pollution and to free ourselves from always wanting and needing more, never having enough. Imagine how much energy, money and time we could save if we all realised that we don’t need most of the things we are running after? We all know that “less is more”, but how many of us actually practise what we preach?
As I travel about half of the year (ok, maybe it’s actually even more and I’m just too optimistic and refuse to face my real C02 emission amount), I have been trying to reduce my cosmetic bag to the minimum. Who wants to carry all these bottles and kg around the world, if there is a possibility to avoid it?! And right when I thought that I had mastered it, a new challenge appeared. As I was going to a tea and meditation centre for 10 days, I decided to truly pack the minimum I needed, in this way hoping to also empty my mind and give more space for my heart and spirit. When it came down to skin care cosmetics I decided to only allow myself to take one product. I put all my daily products in front of me and started to evaluate which one was the most necessary for my facial skin care. Making a decision turned out to be much easier than I thought. I just thought about the product that makes the biggest difference to my skin and the empty bottle of which makes me and my skin the saddest.

Infinity drops have become my number one since it appeared in the shops. I have suffered from some kind of incurable dermatitis and redness around my nose and mouth for half of my life. Countless visits to the dermatologist didn’t help, they just made me even more frustrated. The doctors’ verdict that my skin reacts to the climate and changing weather and the only way to reduce the redness is to move away from Latvia didn’t sound like a solution. Even if doctors said that the humid air from all the swamps around Riga was not helping my skin problems, it was the place I lived at that moment.
Infinity drops healed the redness and unsmooth skin in few weeks. Since that moment we have been inseparable. I have almost missed my flight, just making sure I don’t leave without this bottle in my bag. And I have experienced my redness coming back, when I ran out of it in far lands and didn’t include it in my skin routine for a few weeks. Also this time, on my tea trip to Taiwan where humidity met heat and brought out sweat, the Infinity drops turned out to be the best product. Many hours in meditation and tea ceremonies require something light, imperceptible but powerful. Infinity drops made me feel light and free from cosmetics on my skin, but also protected me from the changing environment and weather.

I may never have to face a necessity to choose 3 things that I would take with me to an uninhabited island, but I have made a fairly similar choice already.
