Clean ingredients but too greasy for my skin

I appreciate that mádara selects clean organically certified ingredients and I was using for a while but started getting pimples. I don't like that my face looks so greasy after applying the recommend amount for proper UV protection. Works better on rainy days when applying a minimal amount. Might work better in winter for my skin.

It feels more comfortable and elegant on the skin than many natural sunscreens, with minimal white cast for most skin tones. The main downside is the premium price, and those with very oily skin may find it slightly rich. Overall, it's a solid choice for daily facial sun protection if you prefer natural and certified organic skincare.

The best tinted face sunscreen

It is great, it works as a light cream, sunscreen and gives a light tint. I have reactive rosacea prone skin with uneven skin tone and this product is enough for me in summers. I don't wear a foundation if I use it - but I am also not picky.
I use it daily if I go out for more than 15 min, but if I am in the sun for a long time, I also put additional sunscreen after a while.

Subtle tint / nude finish that blends into skin without a heavy white cast — can even out tone slightly like a light BB/CC cream.
Tinted texture usually disappears into skin and doesn’t look like makeup.

Can I use this mineral sunscreen instead of a moisturiser?

Not really. While the formula hydrates your skin as it protects it, you should still wear a moisturiser underneath to ensure lasting moisture.

Does it leave a white cast?

Nope, our Age-Defying Mineral Face Sunscreen SPF 30 melts into the skin to leave only a slight, dewy tint behind without a white cast.

How often should I reapply mineral sunscreen?

Every 2 hours or immediately after sweating, swimming or toweling off.

Is this MÁDARA mineral sunscreen reef-safe?

It is indeed both ocean-friendly or reef-safe.

Some chemical UV filters disrupt marine ecosystems and bleach coral reefs. That’s why oxybenzone and octinoxate are banned in places like Hawaii — and why you won’t find any synthetic UV filters in our sun protection formulas.
